Simpler "submit image" page
I’ve made a few changes to the submit image page. Earlier you had to mark the item in question and specify dimensions (inches or mm). A lot of users gave up midway as they probably did not know those dimensions. So now you have a slider to specify the size of the item. Now guess your monitor size better
A lot of Pective users find it difficult to specify their monitor size is. To help them, I’ve created this simple page. It displays the image of item you possess (credit card, CD, dollar bill etc) and asks you to drag a slider till it becomes actual size.

Comments now with pagination
Some Pective pages have more than 200 comments, significantly slowing down the loading of the page. I’ve now added pagination so only 50 of them are displayed at a time. Pages should load faster now !

New features at Pective
I’ve pushed some new features to Pective. Sandbox: Now you can quickly test any dimension right on your screen. I’ve limited the allowed monitor size to 4-50”. Users have been confused in the past, and have entered values like 1024 (the pixel width), so this should help them. I’ve also added a help page explaning what monitor size means. Man buys drugs with Monopoly money
BoingBoing reports, A Wichita, Kansas man was apparently beaten up by a drug dealer after the man paid for crack cocaine with Monopoly money. It’s not clear why it took the dealer so long to realize that the multi-colored bills were not legal tender. For the uninitiated, here what Monopoly money looks like, and here’s a normal American 10 Dollar bill for reference.
